It appears that Apple is finally ready to tell us what’s in store for the future of the iPhone. This morning, the Cupertino-based company issued invitations to select members of the press for an event being held Tuesday of next week, September 10th. The event is slated to start at 10AM PT (1PM EST) as previous events have typically started.
Apple is widely expected to announce two new iPhones at next week’s event, following weeks of extremely heavy component leaks. The company is slated to announce the successor to last year’s iPhone 5, the iPhone 5S, as well as a low-cost and budget friendly iPhone 5C. The iPhone 5C’s parts have been the cause of much discussion. Publications have been able to get their hands on many different color iPhone 5C shells and Apple’s event invitation just happens to be very colorful. It’s almost a guarantee that Apple will ship this device in multiple color variations. The company is also expected to announce a third color option to the iPhone 5S — the device has been leaked in a Champagne color.
Finally, we’ll see a final build of Apple’s iOS mobile operating system. iOS 7 was announced months ago and is the most radical change to iOS since the platform launched in 2007. Through many test builds of the software, Apple has continued to tweak and improve the initial experience and we’re positive that Apple has more to show of iOS 7 that will be exclusive to their newer devices.
Whatever the news, you can be sure that next Tuesday, we’ll be here to give it to you and break it down, bit by bit.
